3. Only greedy people want to make a lot of money. Ask yourself: what do you consider “greedy”? Buying expensive cars, getting a big house, purchasing your own boat—none of these things hurt anyone. Making money is actually good for people. It benefits the economy.
4. Getting rich comes down to luck. This one is true to an extent—but you can create your own luck. By working with discipline, being open with others, and having a good attitude, you can control how much luck you have. All these habits will contribute to your wealth.
5. If I have more, there’s less for others. The truth is that everybody can be rich. By being rich, you’re actually adding to the money supply. You’re never making money at the expense of others—you’re benefitting others. When you’re doing something that adds value to the economy, money is literally printed into existence.
6. You have to be ruthless to get ahead. There’s no need to be ruthless. You can be successful without throwing anyone under the bus. A lot of people make this excuse because they think it’s easier to just stay where they are. It’s easy to go through the motions without ever making a change. But thankfully, you don’t have to compromise your morals to get ahead.
